Am I in the UK still? Since returning from Kiel last Thursday we have had fantastic weather and I'm hoping it is going to stay for our next training session starting tomorrow in Weymouth. This weekend I had the chance to do some fleet racing for once, sailing with Louise Morton on Morty's Quarter Toner 'Anchor Challenge' (instead of her sister-ship 'Espada'). We had a lovely weekend on the Solent with great sea breeze's each day and most importantly we showed the guys how it should be done, winning class 3.
Tomorrow the squad are back down to Weymouth for 5 days training before our team heads off to Stena Line Match Cup Sweden on Monday. For the first time ever, this year the Women's event will be held in Elliott 6ms instead of the DS37s which the Open fleet will be racing. We are looking forward to competing in a non World Cup Regatta again for a bit of a change!
