WOULD-be record breakers are being invited to take part in a sandcastle building bonanza at Sandbanks beach.
Lewis-Manning Hospice, in association with Dorset Business – the chamber of commerce and industry, is hosting an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for sandcastle building.
It needs teams to help build more than 520 sandcastles in one hour to claim the title.
The event takes place on Sandbanks Beach on Monday, July 12.
From 3.30pm to 5.30pm will be family time – with beach games organised by LA Fitness. Then from 6pm to 7pm is the big record breaking attempt.
Teams of four will need to raise £150 plus VAT to take part – which will include tickets to a BBQ beach party taking place from 7.30pm to 11pm.
Tickets for this event are £20 a head.
