LIKE father, like son. This touching personal picture of former England footballer Jamie Redknapp with dad Harry is being auctioned as a stamp for a children’s charity.

It features an 11-year-old Jamie in an AFC Bournemouth football kit, alongside proud father Harry.

Harry was manager of AFC Bournemouth at the time and Jamie would go on to play for the club five years later before being catapulted into a top-flight career.

The picture of English’s football’s most famous father and son is being sold as a sheet of 20 stamps on eBay to raise funds for Barnardo’s. The online auction runs until 7pm on Father’s Day, June 20.

Jamie said: “The image that I have chosen is one of my favourite personal family photos. It sums up our shared love of football and how much we’ve always supported each other throughout our careers.

“As a father of two boys myself, I know how important the role of a dad is within a family, and this photo really symbolises my own feelings.”

Jamie was capped 17 times by the national side, while Harry, who lives in Sandbanks, went on to manage West Ham United, Portsmouth, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur, where he remains in the hotseat.

Jamie, who was born in Barton on Sea, went on to play for Liverpool, Spurs and Southampton and is now a pundit on Sky Sports.

Potential buyers for the autographed set of stamps, called Smilers, can bid by visiting ebay.co.uk and searching for “Jamie Redknapp Smilers”.
