OAKMEAD College of Technology is set to become a Trust school with more control over its own finances and the way in which the school is run.
Senior staff at the secondary school have joined forces with the Media School at Bournemouth University, Bournemouth Adult Learning and a federation of construction firms to establish the North Bournemouth Learning and Achievement Trust.
“This will make a positive contribution in our continued drive to improve education provision for our students,” said executive head Dr Annetta Minard.
