A SICK teenager’s dream day out at Twickenham was kicked into touch when a coach company couldn’t supply a toilet.

Adam Millward, 14, underwent an operation to remove a brain tumour in January and his condition leaves him needing the toilet every 20 minutes.

After making a good recovery from the surgery, the rugby fanatic had been excitedly preparing for a school trip to London to watch the Premiership final between Leicester Tigers and Saracens.

But coach company Sea View, who provided the transport for the Poole High School trip, said they were unable to provide a vehicle with toilet facilities to accommodate Adam’s condition.

Sea View said a busy Bank Holiday had left them fully booked, with many of their coaches with toilets already overseas.

It left Adam stuck at home and mum Hazel fuming at the company’s lack of understanding.

“Their attitude towards people with disabilities is absolutely outrageous,” she said.

“Adam is a big rugby fan and he’s devastated.

“He’d already paid his £30 to go and staff had received special medical training to deal with his condition.”

Brian Oliver, a traffic officer for Sea View, said the school had made the booking for two coaches months in advance.

They had not requested toilet facilities, so were allocated two standard vehicles.

Mr Oliver added: “The school called us on Thursday to request a toilet, but it is our busiest weekend of the year.

“We tried our best, but sadly it was not good enough.

“We told the school we had no objection to stopping as many times as was needed en route for toilet breaks.”

Of the 18 coaches in Sea View’s fleet, around half have toilet facilities.
