DORSET firefighters are gearing for a gruelling 230-mile charity cycle ride around all 26 of the county’s fire stations.
The two day event, raising money for the Fire Fighters charity, the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation and Help for Heroes, takes place from June 12.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service is looking for other riders to join them on the weekend.
There are three ways of completing the ride – either complete full distance, a relay option, or just one of the legs.
Organiser Martin Mansbridge said: “We are looking for riders to raise money and join which ever group suits their level of fitness.
“This is a first of its kind, fun event and we are really hoping to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charities.”
