A DRIVER was pulled from his car following a road traffic accident on the Upton bypass in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Fire crews from Poole and Bere Regis attended the incident involving two vehicles which occurred just past the Bakers Arms roundabout at around 1.10am.
A Rover MGF being driven by a 31 year old Wareham man was in collision with the central reservation on the A35.
A Rover 216 driven by an Axminster male was then in collision with the Rover MGF. Firefighters assisted paramedics in freeing the Rover MGF driver who was placed on a spinal board and taken to Poole General Hospital. The second driver was uninjured.
Crews made a thorough search of the area using thermal imaging cameras to make sure there were no other casualties.
