A MAJOR power cut hit parts of Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester today - at precisely the moment scientists at CERN reported the first particle collisions in the Large Hadron Collider.
We were following the progress of the experiments in Switzerland, where scientists are attempting to recreate the Big Bang, via Twitter - and then this happened:
