A BIKER is seriously ill in hospital after a head-on crash along a rainy Dorset road.
The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man from Wimborne, was rushed to Southampton General Hospital following Friday’s (Oct 23) 10pm crash.
He was in a collision with a white van on the A351 near Sandford Holiday Park, between Sandford and the Bakers Arms roundabout.
Paramedics and Police attended and the crash site remained sealed off for some time afterwards.
The collision involved a white Peugeot van, driven by a 38-year-old Wareham man, who has since been arrested on suspicion of road traffic offences.
The biker was travelling towards the Bakers Arms at the time of the impact.
