POOLE councillor Daniel Martin has been found not guilty on two counts of fraud.
A Dorchester Crown Court jury returned the verdicts, on Thursday, October 8. They failed to decide on two remaining counts of fraud by false representation.
Now the 32-year-old faces a week-long wait to find out if there will be a retrial on the outstanding charges after the jury failed to reach a verdict.
It was alleged Cllr Martin failed to reveal savings of up to £27,000 in an ING bank account, while claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance.
He denied all charges.
