THE Ringwood branch of the RAF Association is appealing for volunteers to save the club from possible closure.

The group needs committee members to take on the roles of treasurer, Wing Appeal officer and secretary. Otherwise there are fears the group will fold.

Public relations officer Geoffrey Cornell said: “Many of our members are elderly but we need some new people to take on these roles.

“It would be very sad if the club had to close as we have around 100 members, some of them associate and others ex-RAF.

“If anyone is interested then please get in touch with our chairman, Rob Griffin, on 01202 872164.”
