KYLE Newman has confirmed he will be available for every meeting in Buccaneers’ run-in as they bid to complete a third-tier National League and cup double.

The talented teenager missed the second leg of his previous club Weymouth’s title play-off final triumph last October because he’d already flown out to Australia to race during the British winter.

But after revealing he’ll be travelling down under again this year to gain more experience, Bournemouth Castle Cover’s reserve said: “I’m flying out on November 10 when the British season will already have finished.

“So I’m looking to win the title again, but with Bournemouth this time.”

Newman’s second racing trip to Aussie will last three months and comes after he marked his international debut by scoring five paid eight for Great Britain under-21s in their 49-40 triumph over Australasia at Poole last week.

The 17-year-old added: “I’m racing a similar programme to last year in Aussie, but as soon as I’m back I’ll start preparing for 2010 over here.

“And if there is a chance they will stage some junior internationals in the week before the start of the season, maybe it would be good if we could do it.

“If we could go to Denmark, Sweden or Poland as a GB team, I’d love to do it, especially after going to Poland with some of our boys for a week last year.

“Even if we don’t do that, I’m looking to win the title again with Bournemouth or whichever club I’m with in 2010.

“I’ve loved racing for Bourne-mouth this season and if they are in the National League next year I’d love to be involved again.

“Matt Ford is the best promoter around. He brings extra excitement to the sport and has charisma, and everyone wants to ride for him.

“Newport (for whom Newman also lines up for in the second-tier Premier League) is great as well.

“I have a good set-up there and here, so it’s been great for me this year.”

Newman continued: “I’m Poole-born and proud of it. That’s why I want to ride for Bournemouth, and then for the Pirates one day.

“I also want to prove my point by riding in more internationals in GB colours.

“Next year, hopefully I’ll be in the GB-Australasia series again because I want to race for my country and do well.”

Buccaneers will meet Plymouth in the title play-off final over two legs if they don’t relinquish a 33-point lead from their semi first leg at Weymouth on Friday.

Bournemouth, who host United States Dream Team at Poole on Thursday, clash with Buxton in the cup final with the first leg at Hi-Edge on Sunday.
