A 32-YEAR-OLD Polish national has appeared in Court charged with the murder of young mother Katarzyna Julia Ryba.

Through an interpreter, Piotr Zasada, of Norwich Road, Bournemouth spoke only to confirm his personal details.

Members of Miss Ryba’s family were supported by a Family Liaison Officer for the appearance at Bournemouth magistrates’ court.

Zasada is charged with murdering Miss Ryba on Friday October 2. She died in Poole Hospital after being found fatally injured in the car park of her home in April Court, Wellington Road, Bournemouth just after midnight.

Zasada was remanded in custody and will appear for a preliminary hearing at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday October 14.

An inquest held in Bournemouth on Tuesday heard that the cause of death was a stab wound to the heart.

Ms Ryba worked at Sorridi restaurant at Compton Acres. A card left at April Court by her fellow staff at the restaurant said: “What a tragic waste of a beautiful person, loving mum and friendly work colleague.” Another colleague wrote: “It will not be the same without your smiling face.”

The Daily Echo understands that Katarzyna’s three-year-old daughter is being cared for by friends and relatives.
