RENOWNED furniture-maker Simon Thomas Pirie opens his Briantspuddle workshop and gallery space to the public this weekend.
With cheese as its theme, this delicious exhibition introduces a collection of new work from a group well known for their Dorset Art Weeks’ at Slepe shows – Simon Pirie, Samantha Bush, Aline Johnson and Susannah Hubert.
The collaboration brings together Simons’ bespoke furniture, new glass designs by Aline Johnson, digital art by Susannah Hubert and cheese texture paintings by contemporary artist Samantha Bush. Following a visit to Borough Market in London, Samantha was inspired by the beauty of cheeses stacked floor to ceiling, in particular their texture and palette.
It all kicks off with an opening and cheese-tasting on Friday.
