A NEW member is needed for Shaftesbury Town Council’s central ward following the resignation of long-serving councillor Ray Humphries.
Nomination papers are available from the Shafesbury Town Hall or from North Dorset District Council’s Blandford HQ.
Nominees must be aged over 18, citizens of the UK, EU, or Republic of Ireland, and have lived or worked in Shaftesbury, or within three miles of the town, for the last 12 months.
Nomination forms must be submitted with the signatures of two nominees, also registered to vote in the town, by noon on August 20.
If more than one nomination is received, an election poll will be held on September 17.
