LET’S hope they have plenty of carrot cake on sale at Sopley School Fete.
It’s a favourite of CBeebies television star Chris Jarvis and he’s going to open the event to the public at 1pm on Saturday June 27.
As well as the laden tables on the cake stall, other attractions include the Wessex Birds of Prey, Bransgore First Responders, Ivo the Clown & Coach James, music from Kyla, maypole dancing and lots of children’s games including sponge throwing and a penalty shoot-out.
There will also be burgers in buns, ice creams, cream teas as well as strawberries and cream to keep hunger at bay.
Sopley School is actually in the hamlet of South Ripley near Bransgore.
