ENERGY-CONSCIOUS students have introduced a raft of “green” initiatives at Oakmead College of Technology.
Students have asked for extra litter and recycling bins, spent time working on the school allotment and have carried out energy audits.
Their next target is the staff and pupils who leave lights on at the campus in Duck Lane, Bournemouth.
“Our students are very aware that sustainability is the foundation of their future” said a spokesman for the school.
“Oakmead is a leading secondary school for sustainability and co-ordinates with Bournemouth Borough Council to work towards this.”
