ENTERING the Daily Echo-backed Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride has just got a whole lot easier.

A web site for the event has been launched, allowing pedal-powered fundraisers to register from the comfort of their own homes.

Time lost to training by collecting and posting entry forms will now be a thing of the past, thanks to the efforts of web designer, Gareth Edwards.

“I take part in the sponsored ride each year as Macmillan is a charity close to my heart, having lost my mother to cancer a few years ago,” said Gareth.

Daily Echo editor, Neal Butterworth, will be one of hundreds of cyclists taking part in this year’s event on July 5, which offers six routes from 15 to 100 miles.

More than 800 people took part last year, raising nearly £85,000 for a charity fighting a disease that affects over two million people in the UK.
