BLANDFORD’S Rotarians are celebrating the success of their contribution to National Stroke Awareness Day.
The big-hearted volunteers recently organised free blood pressure checks for passers-by in the centre of town.
About 100 people were tested outside the Corn Exchange by Rotarian Linda Johnson, a qualified nurse, with the help of two doctors.
One of the first people to be checked was PCSO Jamie Burt from Blandford Police Station.
Jamie is about to embark on a seven-day charity walk on the Great Wall of China for Macmillan Cancer Support.
