SUREFIRE party starters Kid Creole & the Coconuts have just been confirmed as Friday night headliners for Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle from July 24-26, joining the likes of Dorset singer-songwriter PJ Harvey and Will Young on the bill.
Led by the dapper August Darnell and the mischievous Coati Mundi, Kid Creole notched up a string of hits in the early 1980s including I’m A Wonderful Thing Baby, Stool Pigeon and Annie I’m Not Your Daddy.
And the festival – which also includes appearances by Angelina Ballerina, Cbeebies’ Mr Tumble and 100 free things for kids – will go out with a bang this year as its creator Rob Da Bank provides the music for English National Ballet and a spectacular Son et Lumiere firework display to bring the curtain down on Sunday night’s finale.
What’s more, you could be there – for free!
We’ve got two family passes (that’s two adults and up to four children), each worth £295, to give away in a very special competition.
To enter simply tell us the name of Kid Creole’s backing group.
Enter on a postcard to Camp Bestival Competition, Daily Echo Promotions, Richmond Hill, Bournemouth, BH2 6HH before Monday, May 11. Normal rules apply.
