I’ve seen very few eagles in my lifetime. Every time has been a special moment.
First time I saw a wild white-tailed eagle it soared over my head like a flying garage door, it seemed so big. Then it sat in a tree miles away and slept for hours. We waited until it flew just to see the sheer power and majesty of the bird in the air again.
Reading this lovely book of photographs I am transported to colder climes where the eagle is king. Ostling’s magnificent photos capture the awesome nature of both golden eagles and their bigger cousins the white-tailed eagle.
I can only imagine the hours, weeks and months that must have gone into creating this masterpiece of wildlife photography. The ospreys and waxwings are a bonus.
A lovely book that would take pride of place on any wildlife lover’s coffee table.
