COMMUNITY groups in the Blandford area are being invited to bid for £250,000 funding for projects to improve public open space.
The Liveability funding had originally been earmarked for a community hall which is no longer considered viable.
So now the cash is being offered to other worthy projects in the DT11 Forum Community Partnership area.
They will need to be identified in, or supported by actions in parish or town plans or the DT11 Forum Community Strategic Plan and must be able to be completed by the end of 2010.
There will be an open meeting for interested parties at the Corn Exchange in Blandford Forum at 7pm on Tuesday.
