THE woman who died in a crash on the A338 in the New Forest has been named as Christine Hodges, a 22-year-old from Poole who was active with the Brownies.

Her parents have paid tribute to their “bright, outward-going” daughter, who died following a collision on the A338 at Ibsley on Tuesday morning.

Christopher and Trudi Hodges, along with Christine’s younger brother Phillip, released a statement on behalf of their family, from Upper Road in Parkstone.

“We are devastated by the untimely loss of our daughter in this tragic incident,” they said.

“Christine was a bright, outward-going young woman, who was looking forward to holidaying and setting up home with her boyfriend Jeff.

“Christine touched many people’s lives and was active in the Brownie community. All who knew her will miss her.”

Christine was driving to Salisbury, where she worked as an administrator for a car firm, when her Renault Clio was in collision with an articulated lorry.
