A popular ITV series is reportedly making a comeback after nearly years away.
Take Me Out is set to return to screens nearly seven years after it was axed from ITV.
The reboot of the popular dating show, originally hosted by Paddy McGuinness, will not feature him as host.
Producers are reportedly seeking a “glamorous female” presenter to attract new audiences.
ITV series Take Me Out set to return to screens after 7 years
A source told The Sun: "Take Me Out was absolutely huge in the 2010s and was a stalwart of the primetime light entertainment schedule.
"Execs at Fremantle, the production company behind the reboot, want to ensure it has the same cheeky tone as the original.
"That’s what set it apart from more serious dating formats which rely on beef and drama – and made it such a fun watch."
Presenters Olivia Attwood and Emily Atack are among those being considered, with model Leomie Anderson also reportedly in the running.
The source added: "Emily and Olivia’s quick wit and timing make them favourites and Maya Jama was also considered perfect, but her links to Love Island make that tricky."
The original Take Me Out ran for 11 series from 2010 to 2019, with McGuinness at the helm.
The show featured a single man trying to impress a panel of 30 women, who could turn off their podium light if they weren’t interested.
If any lights remained on at the end, the bachelor would choose one of the women to join him on a date to the fictional “Isle of Fernando’s” – filmed in Tenerife.
The source said: "The fact Take Me Out had the females in control and it was delivered with such a gentle, comedic touch makes it a very future-friendly format – little would need to be changed."
The reboot is currently in development, with Fremantle in talks with streamers including Netflix.
ITV to revive classic gameshow after 29 years
Another classic show is also set to return to TV screens in the UK.
ITV is reviving Name That Tune for the first time in 29 years, with presenter Alison Hammond set to host the brand-new series.
The music quiz show originally began in the United States in the 1950s before launching in the UK in 1976, and becoming a weekly half-hour show in 1983.
It was transformed into its own show in 1983 due to its widespread popularity.
The original UK series was hosted by comedian Tom O’Connor until 1983, with Lionel Blair taking over until 1988.
The show last appeared on UK television in 1998, when it was briefly revived by Channel 5 and presented by Jools Holland.
ITV’s new version will challenge contestants to identify famous songs in a series of high-energy rounds.
Tracks will span generations and genres, all leading up to a dramatic finale.
The show's band will also be performing in the new UK version, made up of a group of elite musicians who have performed with some of the world’s biggest stars, including Adele and the Spice Girls.
The rebooted game show Name That Tune will air in the first quarter of 2027, according to TV Zone.
It will consist of nine episodes.
Alison Hammond said: "As a massive music lover, my biggest challenge as a host will be trying not to grab the mic and start singing along when one of my all-time favourite tunes comes on!
"And trust me… that will take serious self-control!
"I grew up absolutely loving the original show, so being part of this now feels like a real full-circle moment.

"I cannot wait to get into the studio, put the contestants through their paces, and see who really knows their music.
"And let me tell you, being joined by the super-talented Name That Tune band, who’ll be belting out some of the biggest songs on the planet in their own unique, electric style… oh, it’s going to be next-level.
"Bigger, louder, and more feel-good than ever, this is going to be EPIC!"
