A proposal has been put forward to transform space above a toy store into flats.

TEAL Property Holdings Limited has submitted plans for eight flats above the Entertainer on Poole High Street.

The flats will be created by converting the existing first floor and creating a second storey. The proposal comprises seven one-bedroom flats and one studio apartment.

All the flats will have access to outdoor amenity space, flats 3 and 4 will have private amenity space whilst the remaining flats will have a large shared amenity space.

Planning documents show that all of the flats will have allocated amenity space, associated access and secure cycle parking.

Four of the flats will be accessed via the pedestrianised high street to the front of the building and the other four will be accessed from Chapel Lane to the rear of the building

Secure cycle and refuse storage will be provided and Flat 7 will be allocated a single parking space at the back of the building.

All the flats overlooking Chapel Lane will have Juliet balconies, whilst flat 7 will include a terrace with views to the waterfront.

Plans are in consultation until July 3 under planning application number P/26/02632/FUL.
