A new president has been announced for the Bournemouth and District Law Society.

Adrian Falck, managing partner of Preston Redman Solicitors, has been appointed as the president of the Bournemouth and District Law Society for the 2026 to 2027 period.

In his inaugural address, Adrian thanked the previous president, Mark Proctor, for "the excellent work undertaken throughout his year as president".

He expressed his intention to build on Mark's work while highlighting the importance of upholding the integrity and honour of the profession.

He also stressed the importance of promoting to clients the benefits of engaging a professionally qualified and regulated solicitor.

During his time as president, Adrian aims to work with The Law Society and the Solicitors Regulation Authority to represent the law society's members.

He also plans to work with the members of the law society to explore the safe and secure use of AI to enhance legal practice.

The use of AI will also be looked at in terms of how it can be used to deliver services in the profession currently and in the future.

Among the people who have also taken on new roles: Lauren Day has been named senior vice president, Sarah Unsworth is now junior vice president, Conor Maher will serve as honorary treasurer, and Ana Dilling is honorary secretary.
