THE Bournemouth Performing Arts Competition's 2026 Adult Choirs Competition will take place at Christchurch Priory.

Choirs from across the UK will gather at the priory on Saturday, June 27, offering a wide range of performances throughout the day.

The event will feature more than just community choirs, as barbershop groups and many choirs are set to perform in more than one class.

The musical celebration, promising an inspiring day, is not only free to the public but also allows visitors to come in at any time to enjoy the performances.

Professional adjudicator Rob Elliott will oversee the competition, giving professional advice to performers.

He will also be responsible for distributing two significant awards – the BPAC Adult Choir of the Year and the Geoffrey and Barbara Stark Award for outstanding choral quality.

The event is set to begin at 10am and end at 6.45pm at Christchurch Priory, BH23 1BX.

As an annual event now in its 99th year, the Bournemouth Performing Arts Competition upholds its tradition of supporting exceptional abilities in music, speech, drama, and dance.

The event is set to go all out next year as it prepares to celebrate its 100th year with a grand performance of all disciplines at Bournemouth Pavilion.
