Man arrested for malicious communications in Stalbridge

A MAN has been arrested in connection with a malicious communications investigation.

The incident was reported in the Stalbridge area on Wednesday, May 13, and North Dorset Police later issued a public appeal including an image of a man they wished to identify.

A man in his 30s has since been arrested.

North Dorset Police said in a statement: "A man has been arrested in connection with our investigation into reported malicious communications in the Stalbridge area.

"We previously issued an image appeal in relation to the incident – which was reported on Wednesday 13 May – and, following enquiries, a man aged in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of malicious communications offences.

"He has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.

"We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal."

Dorset Police confirmed that investigations are ongoing. 

A spokesperson previously encouraged anyone with further information to come forward.
