A new nonprofit app is aiming to transform charitable giving and boost donations across the sector.

Legacy, co-founded by Maria Wildwood and based in Bournemouth, brings together more than 11,000 UK charities into a single platform, allowing users to support multiple causes through one monthly donation and view real-world impact updates.

Herbie Wildwood, CEO of Legacy, said: "There’s no shortage of people who care; what’s often missing is a simple and rewarding way to act on that.

"Legacy is built to help turn good intentions into ongoing support for the causes doing incredible work."

Designed as a nonprofit, the app reinvests any surplus back into charitable causes.

It encourages individuals to make giving an easy, inspired, and rewarding part of everyday life.

Users can discover charities, split donations, and adjust or pause their giving at any time.

The app also features impact tracking, tax-year reporting, and a curated newsfeed of charity updates to keep donors informed and connected.

Legacy supports charities by acting as shared digital infrastructure, helping organisations of all sizes reach and retain supporters.

By improving the donor experience, the platform aims to promote more consistent giving across the sector.

Legacy is currently available on the Play Store, and will be released on the App Store soon.
