A Dorset museum is set to explore the hidden role of forests in tank warfare this half-term.
The Tank Museum in Bovington is teaming up with Forestry England to launch a week of themed activities during May half-term, running from May 23 to 31.
This family-friendly programme explores the vital role forests have played in tank warfare, offering visitors hands-on activities including the Green Machines trail and nature-themed crafts.

Claire Cooper, senior education officer at The Tank Museum, said: "From meeting the iconic STICK MAN™ to Tanks in Action displays and pottery painting, this half term is packed with activities for visitors of all ages."
Visitors can also enjoy the Tanks in Action display, which runs Monday to Friday at 1pm and includes a chance to meet the crew.
For younger children, STICK MAN™ will make an appearance on Sunday, May 24.
A pottery painting session hosted by Sophie’s Ceramics will take place on May 26. Booking is required for this activity, and all materials are provided.
Leif Mann, corporate partnerships manager at Forestry England, said: "This event is a brilliant way to show families how nature and history are often intertwined.
"Our team will be on-site throughout the week to chat about the important work we do managing the nation's forests, so please do come and say hello if you’d like to learn more."
All half-term activities are included in the general admission price, which comes with a free annual pass.
