Lou Lindon, head of sport at Talbot Heath School, said: "We are absolutely delighted to receive the Gold School Games Mark for the fourth consecutive year.

"This achievement is testament to the passion, dedication and hard work of our PE department, who consistently go above and beyond to create inclusive opportunities that educate and inspire our young people to develop a healthy relationship with physical activity."

The PE department has expanded its sports programme and introduced new wellbeing initiatives to support both physical and mental health.

These include fitness-for-wellbeing sessions, curriculum-based activities, and lunchtime equipment stores to promote active play and social interaction.

Pupils are also given increasing opportunities to take on leadership roles in sport.

Ross Cameron, head of Talbot Heath School, said: "At Talbot Heath, we believe sport and wellbeing play a vital role in developing confident, resilient and adventurous young people.

"To achieve Gold status for a fourth consecutive year is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects the school’s commitment to providing opportunities for every pupil to thrive."
