AN ELDERLY woman was given a fright after a man attempted to break into her house in Bournemouth through the bedroom window.
Dorset Police have issued an image of a man it would like it identify after an attempted break at the home in Walliscott Road on July 7 at 1.45am.
The elderly woman woke up after she heard noises in her garden to find a man attempting to gain entry through her bedroom window.
Police Constable Lucy Craig, of Dorset Police, said: “This was understandably a very distressing incident for the elderly victim, and we are carrying out various enquiries into this attempted burglary.
“I am issuing an image of a man we would like to identify as part of our investigation, and I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
The man did not enter the room and went around the outside of the house to the front door before he fled the scene after he noticed a CCTV camera.
