OFFICERS are investigating after nearly a thousand pounds worth of alcohol was stolen from a Waitrose.
Bottles of champagne worth £860.43 were taken from Waitrose at The Furlong in Ringwood.
The incident occurred between 10.05am and 10.10am on June 20.
Now, officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify as part of their investigation.
The man is described as white, bald, around 45 years old and approximately 5ft 8.
He was last seen wearing glasses, a flat cap wearing white t-shirt, a brown blazer and blue jeans.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: “We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.
“Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam, or doorbell camera footage that could aid our investigation, please contact us.
“You can do this by calling 101, or by reporting online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, quoting incident number 44240260204.”
