YOU wait ages for a bus, and then one comes filled with fudge.
Preparations are well underway for Live at the Square in Bournemouth town centre due to start on Friday, July 12.
Palm trees, a London-style confectionary bus selling sweets, laces, fudge and honeycomb and a new decorated bar are all now being installed in the Square.
The bar area will be dressed with real plants, palm trees and grasses as well as props such as surfboards and driftwood surrounded by white fencing.
Meanwhile, two stages will host workshops and live performances within the proposed opening hours of 10am until 11pm throughout the week.
A spokesperson for the event said: “It will be a fresh and unique offering with high quality design which will fit in a contemporary town centre. The offering will be themed with a strong focus on 'the event'.”
Live at the Square will be in Bournemouth until September 1.
Councillors yesterday (July 8) voted mostly in favour of Live at the Square, but rejected the Summer Skate roller rink in the Lower Gardens.
