A SIX-year-old boy is devastated after thieves snatched his prized BMX, the first bike he's ever owned.

Brett Rowland was playing at a friend's house in Broadstone, Poole, when the £179 cycle was stolen.

Mum Kim, from Merley, said: "Brett was going to a BMX track in Christchurch that weekend. He couldn't go in the end.

"His brother went, but he had to stay at home. He was really angry and extremely upset."

The Jamie Beswick Ltd Edition BMX was taken last Thursday from outside the house in High Park Road between 3 and 5pm.

Kim said: "Brett does a lot of jumps because he does motocross. The BMX riding helps him.

"There is a bridle path, Roman Road, running outside the house in Broadstone, and we think someone walking past just stole it.

"It's a big bike for a little boy, but whoever took it may not know it belonged to a six-year-old. It looks like it could belong to a teenager."
