A PUB in Bournemouth could be subject to a licensing review following concerns raised by police.

Dorset Police is requesting a review of the premises licence in place at The Bell in Christchurch Road, in the Pokesdown area.

The application has been submitted under Section 51 of the Licensing Act 2003, and on the grounds that police do not consider the pub to be promoting licensing objectives.

This is related to the ‘prevention of crime and disorder and public safety’.

BCP Council is yet to make a decision on the premises licence application, and it will remain open for public consultation until Monday, July 8.

Representations must be made in writing to BCP Council’s licensing team on or before this date.

The application record can be viewed on the council’s website at www.bcpcouncil.gov.uk
