A MAN was assaulted during an early hours attack. 

The victim was in Christchurch Road, Boscombe, between Manor Road and Boscombe Spa Road at around 1am on Saturday, June 8. 

The circumstances of his attack are not yet known, but officers are currently doing “extensive enquiries” into the incident. 

No arrests have been made as of Saturday afternoon, according to Dorset Police. 

Officers are describing the man’s injuries as “not believed to be life-threatening" and he was taken to hospital for treatment.

Witnesses saw a police cordon blocking off Christchurch Road between Manor Road and Boscombe Spa Road during the early hours of the morning. 

It’s believed the cordon went into Boscombe Chine Gardens. 

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “Officers are currently in the area conducting extensive enquiries, and a cordon remains in place at the scene of the incident. 

“No arrests have been made at this time.”
