A NEW bar in Highcliffe could be subject to a licensing review following concerns raised by the council.
BCP Council Environmental Health has applied to BCP Council Licensing Authority to request a review of the premises licence in place at The Governor.
The application has been submitted on the grounds that the local authority’s pollution control does “not consider the premises to be promoting the licensing objective of the prevention public nuisance”.
The Governor, located at 364 Lymington Road, was opened in January of this year at the site of the former Napoleons Bar.
It is self-described as a cocktail bar and lounge which hosts live music every Friday.
The review application by BCP Council Environmental Health is yet to be determined and will remain open for public consultation until Thursday, July 4.
Representations should be made in writing on or before this date to BCP Council Licensing Authority.
