A WOMAN was assaulted inside a pub in Highcliffe. 

The victim, in her 30s, was in The Governor pub in Lymington Road when she suffered minor injuries, according to the police. 

Dorset Police said it would not go into detail about the nature of the injures or if anything was used.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to to come forward following the incident during the early hours of Sunday, May 19. 

Police constable Sim Churchill, of Bournemouth police, said: “I understand there may have been a number of people in the area at the time and I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch. 

“I would also urge anyone with information about who was responsible to please come forward.”
