FOUR MEN are due in court in connection with alleged illegal fox hunting in North Dorset.

It was reported that one fox was killed during the hunt which took place at around 2pm on December 4, 2023, in the area of Buckhorn Weston near Gillingham.

Following an investigation by detectives, and the Dorset Rural Crime Team, four men have been charged with hunting a wild mammal with dogs under section one of the Hunting Act 2004.

The men have been named as Conall James McGrath, 22 and of Charlton Horethorne in Sherborne, George Colin Pierce, 32 and of Milborne Port in Somerset, Freddie Osborne, aged 33 and of Templecombe in Somerset and Andrew Osborne, aged 59 and of Templecombe in Somerset.

They will appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 28.
