A PUB in Poole has partially closed for refurbishment of its kitchen.

The Lord Wimborne is a popular Wetherspoon pub situated in the heart of Poole.

A sign posted on the door reads: “We apologise for any inconvenience while we carry out maintenance work.

“The kitchen will be closed from Monday, June 3, reopening at 5pm on June 21.”

The bar will remain open, but the kitchen is closed.

Speaking to a member of the Wetherspoons team, the reason behind the refurbishment is to install a pizza oven and for an entire refit of the kitchen.

Built in the late 19th century, The Lord Wimborne can be found in Lagland Street.

While the refurbishment is ongoing, Wetherspoon suggested nearby pubs to visit including The Quay, The Blackwater Stream, The Moon in the Square and The Mary Shelley.
