A MEXICAN food kiosk on Poole Quay that's expanding to Sandbanks is our Trader of the Week.

Owners of the Mexican food kiosk, The Other Guy's Kitchen, on Poole Quay, Sam Ogden, 34, and Molly Horwood, 29, have announced they are thrilled to open a brand new food trailer in Sandbanks at The Watersports Academy on May 27.

With plans to hold an opening party to celebrate the occasion, the couple have spent months renovating the trailer after they bought it from a pub in Yeovil.

Molly said: "We got the trailer from a run rundown pub in Yeovil which the owner had turned the garden into a junk site. We've then been working on it in our spare time with the help of my parents."

Sam added: "The plan is to offer fresh, simple food but done well, we've seen that there is a bit of a gap down here for quite a while because in the evenings, the sunsets are amazing and there's nothing to feed people that are here."

Looking for staff, Sam and Holly want to have both their Poole Quay kiosk and food trailer open at the same time, serving similar food and introducing salad bowls to their Sandbanks location.

On top of opening the new trailer, the couple have also announced they are now engaged following a holiday in Italy and said they are excited for the next chapter in both their personal and business life.

Sam said: "We're trying to entice people to come down, hire a paddleboard, and have some tacos."

Molly added: "We're doing complimentary sex on the beach cocktails for the opening and just a meet and greet to show people what we're doing. Loads of family and friends are going to pop down and anyone else we've met along the way from the kiosk."

Despite plans to move the trailer in the future, the couple said they plan to keep the trailer in Sandbanks for the foreseeable future.

They have also begun a competition on their Instagram, @theotherguyskitchen, offering a free paddleboarding session and dinner for two.
