POLICE are hunting for a man after a woman was racially abused on a bus in Bournemouth.

At around 6pm on April 7, the woman was travelling on the number five Morebus near St Pauls Road roundabout on the A35 when a man reportedly shouted abusive language at her.

It was reported that he spat racially abusive words at her as well as another group of people during the bus journey.

Police constable Joshua Pickering, of Bournemouth police, said: “Dorset Police takes all reports of hate crime very seriously and we are conducting a number of enquiries to identify the man responsible.

“I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of a man I would like to identify as part of our investigation. I would urge anyone with information about his identity to please contact us.”
