AN investigation has been launched into a ‘hit and run’ in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report at 11.08pm on Friday, May 17, of a two car crash at the junction of Christchurch Road and Derby Road.
It involved an orange Renault Capture and a red Peugeot 206.
It was reported the driver of the Peugeot left the scene on foot.
The driver of the Renault was checked over at the scene by the ambulance service but was not believed to have suffered any injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
The vehicles were recovered and the local authority was notified in relation to damage to a pedestrian crossing.
Officers left the scene at around 4am the following morning.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
