DOUBLE yellow lines are being introduced along a stretch of road in St Leonard’s.
‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions will be in force at Ringwood Road Service Road from its junction with Woolsbridge Road to its junction with Hobbs Park.
The new traffic regulation order by Dorset Council will come into force on Friday, May 24.
News of the order was shared in social media groups, with residents largely welcoming of it.
One said: “Excellent. Accident waiting to happen.” Others said: “At last!” and “Thank goodness!”
However, not all were hopeful, with one resident commenting: “You’ll only move the problem further up the Service Road. It’s bad enough at times getting on to the Service Road from St Ives End Lane due to restricted view.”
Others suggested additional roads for double yellow lines to be introduced to.
Full details of the order can be found online at www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/tros
