FOUR cars have been left smashed after a driver allegedly hit a speed bump and lost control during a police chase.
The crash was reported at 5.14pm on Wednesday, May 15 when the car collided with several parked cars on Windham Road, Bournemouth.
Two people were seen running from the scene, and officers have been working alongside the NPAS helicopter to search the area.
One man has been detained but no arrests have been made.
Thomas Taylor witnessed the incident outside The Cricketers Arms and said he heard screeching before the car rushed past.
He said the car was speeding around a corner but hit a speed bump and lost control.
It smashed into one car before spinning 180 degrees and hitting two others, Thomas said.
A worker at The Cricketers Arms added she saw the two occupants of the car attempt to flee before one was detained by police.
Chris Swann captured a video of the incident and said it was lucky there were no school children around at the time.
