A SEAGULL was beaten up by a child in a park.
The bird was in Branksome Recreation Ground in Poole when it was attacked by a young boy with a catapult before being kicked in the car park.
Officers from the neighbourhood policing team in Poole continue to investigate the incident that happened at about 8.45am on Monday, April 29.
Police constable Jenny Walsh, of Poole police, said: “We have not received any direct reports from those who witnessed the incident and we need to speak to them in order to establish exactly what happened.
“This must have been a distressing incident to witness and I would encourage anyone who was in the area to please contact Dorset Police.
“I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have information about the person responsible.”
