A WOMAN was assaulted outside a Bournemouth bar after asking a man to stop publicly urinating on a wall. 

Dorset Police are investigating after a woman in her 20s was assaulted by a man she had asked to stop urinating on a wall outside Sixty Million Postcards in Exeter Road. 

The man punched the victim in the face causing her to fall backwards. 

She sustained significant bruising to her eye.

Officers have issued CCTV of a man they would like to identify as part of their investigation. 

The incident occurred at around 1.30am on Monday, April 1. 

Police Constable Olivia Trew, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am continuing to investigate this incident and have obtained CCTV images of a man I would like to identify.

“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please contact Dorset Police.”
