A KAYAKER goes missing on the Dorset coast in an upcoming episode of Saving Lives at Sea.

RNLI lifesavers from Mudeford will feature in the new series of popular TV show Saving Lives at Sea this week.

Saving Lives at Sea features footage captured on helmet and boat cameras, meaning viewers can watch dramatic rescues through the eyes of RNLI lifesavers.

This allows viewers to meet the lifesavers behind the pagers and those rescued by the charity.

A spokesperson for BBC said: “Whenever their pagers sound, the volunteers of the RNLI immediately find themselves under pressure.

“In Mudeford, on the Dorset coast, a search for a missing kayaker quickly escalates when it emerges that there are six more kayaks unaccounted for.”

The episode also features rescues in Cornwall, Pembrokeshire, and Eyemouth on the east coast of Scotland.

The show airs on April 30 at 8pm on BBC Two.
