A TOWN centre supercar event that was postponed due to high winds has been rearranged for a bank holiday weekend.

Coastal Speed and Style Supercar Sunday was due to take place on April 7, but it has now been rescheduled for Sunday, May 26.

Director of the event, Bea Sieradzka, said: “We're delighted to announce the new date for our event.

“This postponement decision prioritised safety, ensuring the welfare of our participants, visitors, and showcased vehicles.

“Transitioning to a later date underscores our commitment to delivering an exceptional experience while maintaining safety standards.”

The event will offer a diverse range of attractions, including a children’s play area, live entertainment and food and drink from local businesses and restaurants.

It will take place in The Triangle and Commercial Road, and will see supercars including Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, Maseratis and other rare vehicles for visitors to see.

The free event is also in partnership with Morebus, to promote sustainable travel options, and We Do Ethical, raising awareness of sustainable development and the climate crisis.

Trees will be planted based on emissions calculations from the journeys of the cars present to the event.

Coastal Speed and Style has also teamed up with Sporting Bears, a group that raising money for children’s charities, to give back to the community and make a positive impact on local causes.

Bea added: “The event, supported by Bournemouth Town Centre BID, embodies a unique fusion of sophistication, lifestyle, and innovation, offering at the same time a platform to inspire the younger generation through the achievements of supercar owners.”

On the day, the cars will be fenced off with organisers asking that they are not touched by visitors without permission, although there will be opportunities to speak with their owners.
